Motherwell defender Bevis Mugabi has spoken of his "scary" experience after being in Morocco when a deadly earthquake hit the country last night, killing more than 600 people and injury over 300.
The Ugandan international was in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh to represent his country in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier with Niger, which was being played at a neutral venue in the area on Thursday night.
Mugabi's side won the match 2-0 but lost out of the final qualification slot to Tanzania, who finished in second place on eight points.
The 6.8-magnitude quake struck in the Atlas mountains region, southwest of Marrakesh at 11:11 pm (22:11 GMT) last night. The Uganda Cranes have stated their national contingent left the Marrakesh area on Thursday, with all players and staff are accounted for.
