More roads will be closed in Manchester from today (December 6) ahead of Chanel's big fashion show in the city centre. The Métiers d'Art event, which will see 600 guests from around the globe flock to the Northern Quarter, will take place tomorrow (December 7).
A huge structure has been built in Thomas Street where the outdoor catwalk will be hosted. Tables and chairs have been set up on the street where A-list celebrities, fashionistas and other VIP guests are expected to watch the exclusive event on Thursday evening.
Several roads have been closed off for some periods of the day over the last few weeks as organisers prepare for the show. A 'controlled drop off point' where attendees would arrive and get out of their vehicles is expected to be located at High Street.
