The Met Office has issued a warning of extremely high temperatures this week, with some areas seeing temperatures over 30C. Forecasters say the rising temperatures will come in from high pressures mainly focused in the southeast of the UK.

Despite this, heatwave conditions are expected across the majority of England and wales, while some parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland will also experience 'unseasonably high temperatures.

The only parts of the country that may miss out on the high temperatures are the far north and west of Scotland which will instead see periods of showery conditions.

There may also be a chance of thundery showers in parts of the country from Tuesday, but this will likely be isolated and not spread to other regions.
