MADRID : Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe said scoring his first LaLiga goals for his new club on Sunday was a relief after drawing a blank in their first three league games of the season.
Kylian Mbappe answered his critics in style as he netted his first La Liga goals to give Real Madrid a 2-0 win over Real Betis at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday which sends them second in the table. Since scoring in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta, new signing Mbappe had failed to find the back of the net in Madrid's opening three games in La Liga, prompting criticism in the Spanish press. Mbappe was made to wait for his goals as he squandered a series of chances, finally finding the back of the net in the 67th minute, sweeping the ball past the Betis goalkeeper with his left foot after a well-timed back-heel from Fede Valverde.
With two draws on the road, LaLiga defending champions Real Madrid find themselves seven points behind current league leaders Barcelona with a game in hand. With Real Betis come calling, Carlo Ancelotti's men will have the chance to cut that gap to just four points ahead of the international break. However, Real Madrid, who signed France captain Kylian Mbappe on a fee transfer, have looked short of ideas up front while also being sloppy at the back.

MADRID : Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti said on Saturday he is happy with how new signing Kylian Mbappe is settling into life with the Spanish soccer giants and he has no concerns about his team's slow start to the LaLiga season.
