Marcus Rashford reached a little known Manchester United record vs Liverpool on Monday night. The 24-year-old Wythenshawe-born forward played his part in what was an excellent team performance for the Reds at Old Trafford.

Jadon Sancho gave the hosts the lead with a composed finish inside the area. Rashford made it two just after the interval, springing open the Liverpool offside trap to slot home past the reach of Allison.

Mohamed Salah would find the back of the net with a header but it was too little, too late for the Merseyside club.
