Manchester United would be willing to accept a loss on Raphael Varane with reports suggesting a bid of £35million would be accepted.

Varane's future has become the subject of speculation after he was dropped by Erik ten Hag in recent weeks. The 30-year-old has not started since the 1-0 Champions League win at home to FC Copenhagen at the end of October, having been usurped by the in-form Harry Maguire.

Ten Hag dismissed questions over Varane's future as 'rumour' recently but according to TEAMtalk, United would be willing to offload the World Cup and Champions League winner for £35m.

That would equate to a loss on the £41m deal agreed with Real Madrid two years ago. There was interest from Saudi Arabia last summer and that has remained, with Bayern Munich the latest team to join the race.
