Manchester United have reportedly received a 'boost' in their pursuit of Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak. Oblak has been on United's radar for a while now, with numerous reports emerging that Erik ten Hag sees the 29-year-old as the ideal replacement for David de Gea.
The Spaniard's contract runs out at the end of this year, but it is believed that the club have the potential to extend De Gea's deal for another year should they wish.
However, this decision may well depend on United's ability to sign a replacement, something that appears to have just gotten one step closer.
According to the Mirror, Diego Simeone's side are lining up Aston Villa's Emi Martinez as a replacement for their Slovenian shot-stopper, with the Spanish club growing increasingly concerned that Oblak will leave on a free this summer when his contract runs out.
