Fulham are not expected to make another bid for Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay if they sign Sander Berge from Burnley.
Burnley have accepted an offer of £25million from Fulham for Berge, who also generated interest from United this summer. The Norway international was shortlisted as a fall-back option with Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte still United’s priority target.
United held discussions with Burnley about Berge earlier this month and it is understood they expressed confidence in concluding a deal for Ugarte. Fulham’s last offer for McTominay was £23m. McTominay, 27, has entered the final year of his contract and although United have the option of an additional year his resale value is unlikely to be higher in 12 months’ time.
