Manchester United are still considering a move for Lyon forward Moussa Dembele in the final few weeks of the summer transfer window and remain in contact with the player's representatives.
Erik ten Hag is desperate to add some extra firepower to his forward line before deadline day on September 1, with the French forward still being considered for a possible late swoop.
The Manchester Evening Newsrevealed back in March that United were looking at Dembele ahead of the summer window and it is understood they are still looking at the 26-year-old as a potential addition. READ MORE: The five-step plan for United to turn their season around Dembele only has one-year left on his current deal at Lyon, and many clubs are already positioning themselves for a free transfer next summer in case the forward runs down his time at the Ligue 1 club.
It is understood the French forward has already rejected an offer from Everton this summer, while La Liga side Villarreal are also keen on a deal but have been unable to convince him to join.
