Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor has been named Barclays manager of the month for February. The 49-year-old led his side to an emphatic 2-1 victory over Arsenal three days after suffering a narrow 1-0 loss to the same side at Meadow Park.

The league win saw the Sky Blues leapfrog the Gunners into the final Champions League slot, three points clear of Arsenal, yet two points behind defending champions Chelsea and three behind Manchester United to occupy top spot in the Women’s Super League standings.

City started the season on the back foot having crashed out of the Champions League and suffering back-to-back defeats to Aston Villa and Chelsea domestically.

Since then, the Citizens gained impeccable momentum of an unbeaten streak of 16 games in all competitions and are in contention for league success. NEW!
