Manchester United frontman Cristiano Ronaldo ‘doesn’t want to be at Old Trafford anymore’ and he is expected to seal his departure ahead of Thursday’s 11pm deadline, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. Ronaldo only returned to the Red Devils 12 months ago, but it looks as though his second spell in the red half of Manchester will be short-lived.

It emerged last month that Ronaldo is desperate to leave Manchester United as he wants to compete in this season’s Champions League.

According to Sky Sports, super agent Jorge Mendes has approached Napoli over a potential switch to the Serie A giants. The report suggests Mendes has put forward a proposal which would see the 189-cap Portugal international head to the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium and Manchester United buy the Italian outfit’s Victor Osimhen.

It is understood that Ronaldo is open to joining Napoli, but a move to one of his current employers’ Premier League rivals is also a possibility.
