Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag and the club’s hierarchy are set to “decide together” on how to approach their striker situation, according to Fabrizio Romano. The Red Devils are in the market for a new striker, especially with Cristiano Ronaldo’s future in serious doubt, and Romano reckons the hierarchy at Old Trafford are expected to make a joint decision.
With Ronaldo expressing his desire to leave the club earlier this month, United’s striker situation has become even more precarious.
The Portugal international is set to meet with the club to discuss his future after returning to the UK on Monday having being left out of the pre-season tour of the Asia and Australia due to personal reasons.
Regardless of whether Ronaldo ends up committing his future to United, the Red Devils are still short in the forward areas, with Anthony Martial starting each of the club’s four pre-season games.
