Manchester United are monitoring RB Leipzig striker Dominik Szoboszlai alongside Red Bull Salzburg’s Benjamin Sesko as they look to bolster their attack, according to transfer insider Dean Jones. Erik ten Hag is nearing the end of his first pre-season as manager at Old Trafford but there could still be business to be done before the September 1 deadline.
Three new faces have been added to the first team this summer in the form of Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen.
But adding attacking reinforcements now appears to be the priority. The club were looking to reunite Ten Hag with Ajax striker Antony this summer but the Dutch champions recently upped their asking price to £84 million, effectively killing any possibility of a deal.
Alternatives have had to be sought out now. Salzburg frontman Sesko has been strongly linked with the Red Devils with the Austrians currently demanding over £45 million for his signature.
