Manchester United are on the hunt for a forward, and have eyed up Monaco’s Wissam Ben Yedder. That’s according to Media Foot Marseille, who claim that both United and Wolves are in for the striker.
Monaco had to shell out €40m (£34m) for his services from Sevilla, so will want to recoup as much of that fee as possible. As the World Cup looms, he will want to put himself in the best position to play understudy to Kylian Mbappe and Karim Benzema.
Wissam Ben Yedder has scored goals at almost every club he has been at, with his diminutive frame but powerful attacking play often leaving defenders devastated.
United could do with a consistent amount of goals, especially if Cristiano Ronaldo is to be leaving as rumoured. Last season, in particular, marked an impressive campaign for the £22.5m-rated marksman, as he bagged 25 times, supplying a further five assists in 37 league appearances.
