Man City insert three transfer clauses into Burnley deal for Aro Muric

Manchester City will continue to monitor the progress of Aro Muric after the goalkeeper's permanent departure to Burnley. Vincent Kompany has landed his third City player of the summer, with goalkeeper Muric following centre-back Taylor Harwood-Bellis on loan and fellow defender CJ Egan-Riley on a free transfer.

Burnley have paid an initial £2.5m for Muric, with add-ons also included in the deal. On top of that, City have also put three clauses into the deal to give them a chance of benefitting further from the transfer in the future.

They have a buyback option, the ability to match any offer that comes in for the goalkeeper, and a healthy percentage of the next sale should they decide not to challenge any club that comes in. The Montenegrin keeper became deputy to Ederson and played in the Carabao Cup in every round until the final, where Pep Guardiola opted for the experience of his No.1 against Chelsea.
