Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Mallik Wilks from Hull City for an undisclosed fee. The 23-year-old is the Owls’ 10th summer signing and bolsters their attacking options with just over a week to go until the transfer window shuts.
Wednesday have been looking to add Wilks to their forward line since June. Personal terms were agreed a number of weeks ago but a big stumbling block proved the transfer fee.
After protracted negotiations, it is understood the Owls finally reached an agreement with the Tigers last week. Wilks will wear shirt number seven.
He is ineligible to make his Wednesday debut against Rochdale tomorrow night as he has played in the competition for Hull this season.
