M4 crash involving van causes five miles of queues - live updates

A crash involving a van is causing M4 delays during the Monday morning rush hour. Traffic monitors are showing five miles of queues in the area back to Cardiff.One lane was blocked and traffic is queueing on the eastbound carriageway around Newport.

It happened at junction 26 Malpas Road, and congestion is back to Cardiff's junction 29.The lane re-opened just after 8.15am but heavy congestion remains in the area.Traffic Wales are urging motorists to allow extra time for journeys in the area.
