Luis Palma is reportedly set to be handed the iconic Celtic No. 7 shirt after touching down in London for a medical ahead of his £3.5million move from Greek side Aris to the Scottish Premiership champions.
Brendan Rodgers is desperately looking to give his side a transfer boost in the final days of the window. The arrival of the 23-year-old Honduran international winger is a start with Diario Diez saying Palma will be handed the number seven squad number having initially requested No.
17 only to discover that has already been claimed by Polish defender Maik Nawrocki. Palma will instead get the No. 7 which was vacated by Giorgos Giakoumakis when he left in January to join Atlanta United.
The number has been worn by some of the club’s biggest legends including Henrik Larsson, Jimmy Johnstone and Kenny Dalglish.
