Live updates as crash closes part of major Cardiff road with delays expected

South Wales Police were at the scene of a collision on one of the main routes out of Cardiff on Thursday afternoon (January 4).

Officers say that one lane of the A4232 is closed northbound between Cardiff Bay and Leckwith.A statement from the force said: "There is currently one lane closed, It is expected to remain closed for some time.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use alternative routes where possible. Delays are expected in the area."Traffic monitoring system Inrix is showing that the lane reopened just after 3pm and congestion is starting to ease.Follow our live updates below:
