Motorists driving home on the M60 this evening are facing long delays during rush hour, with one broken down vehicle causing long delays for many.

Two lanes were closed on the busy route just after 3.30pm today (February 13) after a van broke down between J16 and J17 of the M60.

Soon after, queues started to build. Though one lane re-opened shortly after, motorists are still experiencing long delays. An hour later, drivers heading out on the M67 were hit with delays, after an accident near Denton, J1, caused slow-moving traffic around its intersection with the M60.

Traffic sensors read: "One lane closed and slow traffic due to accident on M67 Eastbound at J1 A57 (Denton / Ashton-under-lyne)." This is a live incident, follow below for updates. This liveblog has ended Motorway sensors on the M60 show that traffic is starting to ease in both directions, after around three hours of slow-moving traffic has frustrated drivers.
