Liel Abada hasn’t travelled to Germany for Celtic’s Champions League clash against RB Leipzig while Aaron Mooy is also unavailable after joining Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt on the sidelines to add to Ange Postecoglou’s injury woes. Record Sport revealed there was a question mark over Israeli Abada due to the Group F fixture coinciding with Yom Kippur.
However, the Hoops winger did train before the Scottish champions flew out to Germany but Postecoglou revealed he didn’t board the plane.
The Jewish holy day ends at sunset on October 5 which will be just before kick off, however, travelling for the game was an issue.
He missed last season’s game against Real Betis along with Nir Bitton. Postecoglou knows his side face a huge challenge in the Red Bull Arena against the Bundesliga side with Carter-Vickers still crocked and Aussie Mooy, tipped to fill in for Callum McGregor on Saturday with the skipper suspended for St Johnstone, also out.
