Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch is bringing back the aggressive and combative nature of the club from past eras, after his side earned another red card on Sunday evening, according to journalist Dean Jones. Aston Villa were held to a 0-0 draw at Elland Road despite the hosts playing nearly the entire second half with 10 men.
Marsch’s men have now failed to win any of their last four top-flight matches, losing to Brentford and Brighton as well as drawing to Villa and Everton.
The Whites will have been confident of picking up all three points against Steven Gerrard’s charges on Sunday, with the Villans coming into the game hovering ominously above the relegation zone.
But a game to forget from £21 million summer signing Luis Sinisterra left the hosts a man light, receiving two bookings for an unnecessary foul and illegally blocking a free-kick.
