Kyosuke Tagwa seals Hearts transfer switch as Japanese star pens four-year deal

After a false start, Hearts have now confirmed the signing of Kyosuke Tagwa. The Japanese striker has penned a four-year deal with the capital club and becomes Steven Naismith's fourth signing of the summer.

Kenny Vargas will be the fifth, but the Costa Rican is waiting on his visa application being rubber stamped before jetting into Edinburgh and may not be signed in time for the Premiership opener this weekend.

Tagawa's former club, FC Tokyo, along with the player himself on social media, announced last week that he was on his way to Hearts.

That prompted Tynecastle officials to issues an urgent update, clarifying that nothing had been signed and sealed although they were hopeful of it happening soon.
