Kwon Hyeokkyu has joined Hibs on a season-long loan. The Celtic midfielder is well out of the picture at Parkhead under Brendan Rodgers, despite penning a five-year deal after joining the champions from Busan IPark last summer.
Kown was loaned to St Mirren last January, and helped Stephen Robinson's side to fifth in the Scottish Premiership and book a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
The Buddies had been keen on another loan deal, but the 23-year-old has opted for David Gray's side. "Kwon Hyeokkyu provides us with another option in midfield being able to play as both a deeper 6 and as an 8," said the easter Road boss. "As a player, he’s a great athlete, he’s very competitive, and comfortable on the ball.
He showed these capabilities during an impressive loan spell last season. We’re delighted to bring him to the Club and look forward to working with him.” Sporting Director Malky Mackay added: “We’re really pleased to make Hyeokkyu our ninth signing of the summer transfer window.
