Katie Taylor has sounded a challenge for undisputed light-welterweight champion Chantelle Cameron, although the English fighter does not, initially, appear keen to meet Taylor in the ring.Cameron had been mentioned as a possible opponent for Taylor after her planned homecoming fight on 20 May was deferred due to an injury suffered by Amanda Serrano. The Bray boxer was due to fight for the first time professionally on home shores this summer, with the bout originally being lined up for Croke Park before a proposed switch to the 3Arena due to cost issues. However while an injury to Serrano has forced a rethink in terms of opponents, Taylor is still keen to fight in Dublin on the same date.Undisputed lightweight champions Taylor issued a challenge to Cameron, confirming that she would be willing to meet the English fighter at her preferred weight.Writing on Instagram, Taylor said: "Let's get it done Eddie Hearn, this homecoming has waited long enough! @3arenadublin is available so let’s give Ireland a night to remember on May 20th."Let’s go champion Chantelle Cameron, happy to move up in weight for the opportunity to become a two weight Undisputed champ."However Cameron may take some convincing to take the fight and yesterday appeared to pour cold water on the prospect of the two meeting in May.Responding to speculation that she may be ready to step in and fight Taylor in Dublin, Cameron wrote: "Would be an honour to share the ring with the very best in boxing and challenge myself.
