Emotional Jurgen Klopp has dropped the bombshell news that he will LEAVE Liverpool at the end of the season. The German moved to Anfield in 2015 and ended their lengthy wait for the English Premier League title as well as winning the Champions League and they are chasing glory in FOUR competitions this season.

But Klopp - who had a contract until 2026 - revealed that he is “running out of energy” to do the job and after succeeding Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers in the hotseat eight-and-a-half years ago the former Borussia Dortmund man will step down and will be followed by his coaching staff.

He said: “I will leave the club at the end of the season. I can understand that it’s a shock for a lot of people when you hear it the first time.

I can try to explain it. I absolutely love everything about this club and city and our fans and the team, the staff. But I take this decision and I’m convinced it’s the one I have to take.
