Coronation Street star Kimberly Hart-Simpson has revealed she's been able to return back to her volunteer work weeks after confirming she had left the show.

The actress appeared in the ITV soap as Nicky Wheatley in 2020, but after a brief stint, she left only to return back in March.

The character's return to Weatherfield didn't quite go to plan, with the former sex worker left devasted when Max Turner leaked her former profession to the whole of Weatherfield High where she had just bagged a job alongside teacher and former flame Daniel Osbourne.

After losing her new job, Nicky was unable to afford the home she had found for her and Maisie and Daniel ended up taking her in.
