Defending his under-fire bowlers, particularly seamers, Dravid pointed out that it hadn't been easy for the rival team's bowlers either to stop runs on batting beauties. "Obviously, you keep trying to get better in all the departments (of the game). Certainly bowling in the death…you know to be fair it's been very flat wickets, it's not been easy bowling at the death, but only for our team, but the other team (too). Australia and South Africa are sides which have a lot of experience in their bowling attacks, and they've struggled in the death as well. So it's not only us," Dravid said in the post-match presser on Tuesday.
South Africa beat India by 49 runs in the third and final Twenty20 match on the back of Rilee Rossouw's maiden T20I century to record a consolation victory in Indore on Tuesday as the hosts won the series 2-1.
Deepak Chahar could have added some drama to the 3rd T20I against South Africa at Indore but he decided against it. The Indian bowler stopped short of delivering his first ball of the 16th over as he gave Tristan Stubbs a warning at the non-striker's end for backing up too far. There was an exchange of eye-contact between the two players and Stubbs was left with a wry smile on his face.
South Africa has got off to a flying start in the 3rd T20I against India after being put in to bat by Rohit Sharma. The pitch at the Holkar Stadium in Indore is allowing the ball to come nicely on to the bat and the likes of Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw have hit quickfire half-centuries.
