India vs Australia, India Predicted XI: Will Bhuvneshwar Kumar Return For 3rd T20I vs Australia?

India face Australia in the third and final T20I in Hyderabad on Sunday. The match will be a series-decider, with Australia winning the first match in Mohali and India coming back strong to triumph in a shortened game in Nagpur.

India brought Jasprit Bumrah back into the side in Nagpur for Umesh Yadav and played Rishabh Pant instead of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who has been expensive of late.

But as that was a match reduced to eight overs per side, India could afford to field one bowler less. It is highly likely that they will bring Bhuvneshwar back to ensure they have six bowling options in the series decider.

Here is our India predicted XI for the 3rd T20I vs Australia: Rohit Sharma: The India skipper smashed 46* off 20 to guide India to victory in Nagpur.

It has been a decade but Bhuvneshwar Kumar's debut in what was the last bilateral series between India and Pakistan, seems like yesterday. The very second delivery of his international career swung away and after pitching viciously tailed in to disturb opener Nasir Jamshed's timber. Bhuvneshwar has not bowled such a delivery in the last two years. Now that he is expected to lead the Indian attack at the T20 World Cup, his own performance at the death overs is under the scanner.

SCORECARD | AS IT HAPPENEDEven though it was a dead rubber with India having already bagged the series, the convincing defeat in what was the hosts' final T20I going into the T20 World Cup in Australia, will leave the Men in Blue sweating over their pacers' pathetic form. How badly India's seam bowling department is grappling with injuries and consistency at the moment was evident at the toss when skipper Rohit Sharma revealed that Arshdeep, who had been 'recuperating' at the National Cricket Academy during the Australia series, had a slight niggle in the back and missed the game.
South Africa has got off to a flying start in the 3rd T20I against India after being put in to bat by Rohit Sharma. The pitch at the Holkar Stadium in Indore is allowing the ball to come nicely on to the bat and the likes of Quinton de Kock and Rilee Rossouw have hit quickfire half-centuries.
With the series already in the bag, the 3rd T20I against South Africa offers the Indian team an opportunity to test some of their reserves. The likes of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli were already expected to give the match in Indore a miss but Arshdeep Singh's absence came as a surprise.
With an unassailable 2-0 lead in the 3-match T20I series, the Indian cricket team has the opportunity to test a few reserves in the third and final match at Indore's Holkar Stadium. The batting unit has come out all guns blazing in the two matches so far, with Suryakumar Yadav leading the charge. The bowling unit, on the other hand, has left plenty to be desired. With the fate of the series sealed, one or two changes can be expected. Shreyas Iyer and Mohammed Siraj remain two players who would be eager to be given an opportunity.
Kohli, Rahul rested for inconsequential tie even as bowling unit remains a concernINDORE: Just a few hours after recording their maiden T20I series win at home against South Africa in Guwahati, India will look to achieve their first-ever clean sweep against the Proteas in the inconsequential third and final T20I at the Holkar Cricket Stadium here on Tuesday. A 3-0 result here, following up on the 2-1 series win over Australia, should help India pack some confidence when they board the flight for the upcoming T20 World Cup in Australia. The blazing form of the Men in Blue's top four, particularly the unstoppable Suryakumar Yadav, must be the most heartening feature of the recent 'home run'.
