Netherlands goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar pulled off an incredible save against France last night – and a new angle of the moment has gone viral.

France booked a place in the semi-finals of Euro 2022 with a narrow 1-0 victory over the defending champions. The Netherlands frustrated France for large parts of the game, with the match at the New York Stadium in Rotherham forced into extra-time.

Ève Périsset then scored the winning goal – a penalty – in the 102nd minute. The match could have been done and dusted in 90 minutes, however, if not for the heroics of van Domselaar.

With the clock ticking towards full-time, a French corner found the head of defender Wendie Renard, known for her excellent aerial ability.
