Anthony Elanga does not appear to be regretting his decision to leave Manchester United. The winger enjoyed a breakthrough 2021/22 campaign under Ralf Rangnick, featuring in all but three league games during the interim boss’ time in charge.
Elanga saw his playing time significantly diminished last season, though, as Erik ten Hag relied on new signings and other emerging talent.
He made 26 appearances for United last term, but was limited to just over 700 minutes of action. That led Elanga to seal a £15m move to Nottingham Forest and the Sweden international is already making a significant impact for Steve Copper’s side.
On his debut, the 21-year-old sparked an electric counter-attack that saw Forest claw back a goal against Arsenal. This weekend, Elanga kept his composure to score the winner against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
