Leeds United target Cody Gakpo has all the attributes to replace Raphinha, believes journalist Pete O’Rourke. The PSV Eindhoven winger has been linked with a switch to Elland Road as Raphinha moves closer to the exit door.

According to Voetbal International journalist Marco Timmer, Gakpo’s people have spoken to Leeds about a potential transfer for the 23-year-old this summer.

It is believed that PSV want €40m (around £34m) for Gakpo after his excellent 2021/22 campaign. In the Eredivisie, the Dutchman scored 12 goals and conjured up 13 assists in 27 appearances to help his side finish just behind champions Ajax.

Bringing in someone like Gakpo is almost certain to be at the top of Jesse Marsch’s list, with the American set to lose Raphinha. Raheem Sterling to Chelsea is ON!
