Greater Manchester Police issue statement after large emergency services presence descends on street
A woman has been taken to hospital following a suspected gas leak in Bury. Police, firefighters and paramedics all raced out to Market Street, in Tottington, last night (September 4).
The incident unfolded at around 10pm. Eyewitnesses reported seeing several fire engines and police cars rushing along Tottington Road on their way to the scene.
Greater Manchester Police says it was called out to assist Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) following concerns for the welfare of a woman.
