The trial of two teenagers accused of murdering Brianna Ghey has concluded its third week. The two defendants, both aged 16, known for legal reasons as Girl X, from Culcheth and Boy Y, from Leigh, deny murder and cannot be named due to legal reasons.
Brianna, 16, a transgender girl, died after being stabbed 28 times in a park near Warrington earlier this year, jurors have previously heard.
She was found by dog walkers in Linear Park in Culcheth at around 3pm on Saturday, February 11. The trial is being held at Manchester Crown Court, and continues for a fourth week on Monday. This is everything heard during the third week of proceedings. Girl X returned to the witness box to give evidence for a second day.
