Australia's experienced left-arm pacer Mitchell Starc was "surprised" to see Pakistan's lack of pace in the first Test which was one of the most talked about points.

Pakistan are quite restricted in terms of putting up a quality pace bowling line-up with Naseem Shah nursing an injury and Haris Rauf opting out of the Test series.

Without experience, the majority of the burden fell on Shan Masood's deputy Shaheen Shah Afridi, but even he struggled to generate pace. "I think everyone was slightly surprised at the lower pace of the Pakistan bowlers, when you're generally used to some guys getting in the 150s [kph].

I don't think that pace is the be all and end all but it certainly plays a part and can help," Starc said, speaking to media as quoted from ESPNcricinfo.

In a history-making move, Starc was bought by KKR for a whopping Rs 24.75 crore just hours after his skipper, Pat Cummins, breached the Rs 20 crore mark after being bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), becoming the most expensive player in the history of the IPL at the auction in Dubai held in December last year.
Australia's Mitchell Starc bowled a ripper to clean up Pakistan opener Abdullah Shafique on Day 3 of the third and final Test match in Sydney. The left-arm pacer bowled a fuller delivery that was pitched outside off stump. The ball that was bowled at 143.5 kmph swung viciously into Shafique who had already committed to play in on the front foot. The extra swing found the bat-pad gap and rattled the stumps.
Team director Mohammad Hafeez missed his flight to Sydney for Pakistan's final Test series clash against Australia, according to Geo News. The former Pakistan player arrived late at the airport after which the staff did not allow him and his wife to board the plane. Hafeez and his wife took another flight to Sydney hours later. Pakistan is likely to hand Saim Ayub his debut cap and he could make his place in the team in place of Imam-ul-Haq.
