Erling Haaland announced himself to the Premier League in spectacular fashion on Sunday afternoon. Reigning champions and Haaland’s new club, Man City, travelled to the London Stadium for what was expected to be a tricky clash with David Moyes’ West Ham.
But the end result proved to be anything but as City waltzed to an easy 2-0 victory thanks to two goals from their Norwegian sensation.
It took Haaland all of 35 minutes to break the deadlock, bursting into the area with his trademark pace he forced West Ham keeper Alphonse Areola to bring him down before duly converting the penalty in lethal fashion.
Fast forward another half an hour of game time and he was at it again, expertly timing his run between centre-backs to latch onto a typically brilliant Kevin De Bruyne through ball before opening his body up and converting like a prime Thierry Henry.
