Erik ten Hag insists Mason Mount can 'be a big part' of his Manchester United team despite an underwhelming start. Mount arrived in a £55million deal from Chelsea at the start of July, addressing Ten Hag's need for more energy and technical quality in central midfield.
The 24-year-old has played five times across all competitions but failed to replicate his form at Stamford Bridge. Hampered by an injury picked up in United's 2-0 defeat at Tottenham in August, Mount is yet to find the balance with his new midfield teammates and has seen several good chances wasted.
But there have been glimpses of the England international's quality and Ten Hag remains optimistic for his future role.
