Erik ten Hag has been left with plenty of food for thought after Manchester United’s opening day defeat to Brighton. Having seen some promising signs during pre-season, all of United’s problems from last season came back to haunt them as they slumped to a disappointing defeat at Old Trafford.
And it has led to United making more moves in the transfer market. A pursuit of Marko Arnautovic has been launched and then called off within the space of a few days, while a fee has been agreed with Juventus for Adrien Rabiot.
But even if Rabiot was to head to United, Ten Hag certainly still has plenty more business he’d like to do, with a few players undoubtedly in his sights.
