The batting legend was present for the morning session on the third day as Musheer piled up his second century in the three knockout games of this season's Ranji Trophy to help Mumbai extend their advantage. For the unrelenting run-machine that Virat Kohli has been in the IPL, the MA Chidambaram Stadium here remains a peak that the Royal Challengers Bangalore batter is yet to scale. Kohli stands miles away from the rest in IPL, scoring 7263 runs from 237 matches with seven hundreds and striking at 130. But that supremacy dips at the Chepauk, where he averages just 30 and has a strike-rate of 111. In that context, former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh said it was imperative for Kohli to produce a better effort when RCB face defending champions Chennai Super Kings in the inaugural match of this year's IPL at the Chepauk on March 22. "The greatness of Virat has been reduced in terms of his overall performance at that venue. It is a tricky venue to bat, especially as an opening batsman against a sort of weird tennis ball type bounce.
Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar lauded England's James Anderson for completing 700 Test wickets and becoming the first-ever pace bowler to do so, saying that a fast bowler playing for two decades and picking 700 wickets sounded like fiction but Anderson had made it happen. Anderson etched his name in history books on Saturday, becoming the first-ever pacer in the history of the sport to complete 700 wickets in Test cricket and overall only the third bowler to do so. The ageless English pace wonder, who will be turning 42 this July, achieved this milestone during India's fifth and final Test against England in Dharamsala.
The Indian Street Premier League has given cricket fans some entertaining moments already. Seeing Sachin Tendulkar get out to Bigg Boss winner Munawar Farukhi, many fans scratched their heads. But now, another video has emerged where influencer Gaurav Taneja celebrated catching former India cricketer Yusuf Pathan on the boundary rope on the bowling of Irfan Pathan. Not realising that it was a free-hit on which Yusuf had attempted to go for a six, Taneja thought he had successfully completed a catch. Hence, a 'moye, moye' moment followed.
