Dover Athletic have posted a six-figure loss for the second successive season. The club’s financial statements have been published by Companies House, which shows a loss of £147,870 for the financial year to May 31, 2023.

The accounts cover the club’s first season back in National League South. They avoided relegation by goal difference on the final day of the campaign, with Dulwich Hamlet finishing just below them in the table.

Andy Hessenthaler started that season in charge of Dover but left to join Gillingham as head of recruitment, and he was replaced in the hotseat by the now-departed Mitch Brundle.

The accounts also show that 123,254 ordinary shares of £1 were issued in the year, raising cash of £123,254. Dover lost £108,969 in the previous 12 months, which included the season they were relegated from the National League.
