Donny van de Beek has been granted permission to leave Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to reports.
As per 90min, the Dutchman - who arrived at Old Trafford in 2020 from Ajax - has been informed that United will not stop him from leaving Old Trafford in January if he wants to leave the club.
However, it is thought that the 25-year-old is keen to stay and fight for his place. Van de Beek made just four Premier League starts in his debut campaign and was sent on loan to relegation-battling Everton for the second half of last season.
The arrival of Erik ten Hag, who managed Van de Beek in Amsterdam, was expected to see the midfielder start more frequently, but he has only made three substitute appearances so far this term.
