A police officer resigned before she could be sacked after being convicted of assault and criminal damage. Former constable Kia Pulford-Stone, 24, was charged after two separate incidents which took place in March and May, 2023, at an address in Wigan.
First she attacked Leah Speakman and two months later damaged her Vauxhall Adam car. Pulford pleaded guilty to the two charges - assault and criminal damage - and was dealt with at Manchester Magistrates' Court.
After the criminal case was concluded, Merseyside Police's Professional Standards Department held an accelerated misconduct hearing, at the force's Rose Hill Headquarters earlier this month, chaired by Chief Constable Serena Kennedy.
CC Kennedy concluded Pulford Stone would have been sacked had she remained on the force, the Liverpool Echo reports.
