Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones makes big claim in Cooper Rush v Dak Prescott debate

givemesport.com

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has made a pretty big statement when it comes to the quarterback situation between Dak Prescott and Cooper Rush.  After Week 1 of the NFL season, you might have thought that the Dallas Cowboys were in a bit of trouble when it came to putting points on the board and having a lot of luck this season.

With starting quarterback Dak Prescott having suffered an injury to his hand during their loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a loss in which they were the only team in Week 1 not to score a touchdown, things looked pretty bleak.

It could have gone very badly for them, as the next week they took on the defending AFC Champion Cincinnati Bengals, but backup Cooper Rush managed to hold his own during the game, he went 19-31 and threw for 235 yards as the Cowboys managed to come away with a 20-17 victory.

But things have gone perfect for them, literally, since Prescott’s injury they have won all four games with Rush as their quarterback, with the 28-year-old doing just enough to guide them through games, not giving up an interception, and letting the rushing attack and the team’s impressive defense do most of the work.
