Coronation Street's Henry star shares huge life change since last cobbles stint and 'whirlwind' return

Coronation Street returnee Geroge Banks has shared one of the huge real-life changes that have happened since he last appeared on the cobbles.

The actor was seen making his first appearance back in the ITV soap on Friday (August 4) as he reprised the role of Henry Newton.

Henry is the grandson of former Newton & Ridley director Cecil Newton and he and his father, Phillip, are being roped in to potentially save the Rovers Return after landlady Jenny Connor admitted that the pub's finances are in dire straights and with pushback from the locals on price hikes, she's had to reluctantly widen her options.

Viewers may remember Henry from his last stint in Weatherfield five years ago. Henry previously took a shine to Gemma Winter-Brown when they met at a house party in 2017.
