Coronation Street fans 'dying' as they spot unusual move in soap schedule shake-up

Coronation Street fans have been left baffled as they spotted an unusual change to the TV guide. Viewers are used to seeing the ITV soap air on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday night with those tuning in transported to Weatherfield to see the latest goings on with the residents of the famous street.

Corrie usually airs for an hour each time but it's all change this week. Instead of Friday (September 8), the programme will air on Thursday (September 7).

They have been forced to change their usual air date and time due to rugby coverage. On Thursday, fellow ITV soap Emmerdale will air their usual hour episode from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

There will be an episode of Paul O'Grady's For The Love Of Dogs between 8.30pm and 9pm, before Coronation Street airs from 9pm to 9.55pm.
