Tensions were at an all-time high after Claire Sweeney's storyline finally came to a head in Coronation Street. The veteran soap actor is playing Cassie, a drug addict and Tyrone's estranged mum.

Cassie appeared on The Cobbles last month in a dramatic entrance which immediately saw her hospitalised after being found unconscious in the street.

It led to her mum Evelyn whisking her away to rehab to try and get her clean. While Evelyn and Cassie left the street, Tyrone was left in the dark, unaware that his mum was back.

He continued to believe she was dead.
