Cork City are considering making a move for Quentin Seedorf, nephew of legendary Netherlands player Clarence. The 22-year-old defender last played for Polish second division outfit Zaglebie Sosnowiec having come through the ranks at Vitesse Arnhem. He played 60 times in Poland and could be seen as a good option for the newly-promoted side, who have been slow to add to their ranks. His uncle is one of the most recognisable names in Dutch football, lining out for Real Madrid and winning 87 caps, as well as managing AC Milan.Meanwhile, Barry Cotter is expected to sign for League One side Barnsley from Shamrock Rovers.Cotter had been on loan with St Patrick's Athletic for the second part of the 2022 season and had interest from a number of clubs having fallen out of the favour with the Hoops. The full-back was inadvertently added to Barnsley's squad list on their official club website last night. The profile on the website has since been removed with a deal expected to be announced shortly.
