Chelsea have “no intention” of signing Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, according to Fabrizio Romano. Last month, it emerged that Thomas Tuchel was against his club making a move for the 37-year-old, and Romano says that stance has not changed.

Sky Sports recently reported that Ronaldo, who has 102 Premier League goals to his name, still wants to leave United before the transfer window closes.

The above comes after The Times claimed at the start of July that the Portuguese forward had told the Manchester club that he is keen to depart Old Trafford.

Chelsea were mentioned as a potential destination after their co-owner Todd Boehly held talks with Jorge Mendes, Ronaldo’s agent.
