Chelsea defender Reece James has reportedly decided he would not want to join Manchester City in the future. Over the course of the weekend, The Independent reported Pep Guardiola had shortlisted James as a long-term replacement for Kyle Walker.

The City captain has only recently signed a new contract at the Etihad Stadium but the Blues' boss has been a fan of the full-back for some time.

However, in a new report from 90min, James is claimed to have made a choice on his future. It is understood the 23-year-old, whose sister Lauren also plays for Chelsea, is committed to helping the Blues establish themselves at the top of the Premier League.
