Chatham Town face Dulwich Hamlet at home in National League Division 1 South East after a weekend win over AFC Wimbledon in the Women’s FA Cup first round

Chatham Town Women switch their focus back to the league tonight after Sunday’s cup glory - and it’s a chance for a revenge mission.

Chats are on a high after winning a place in round two of the Women’s FA Cup with a victory at AFC Wimbledon and promoting themselves further as TNT Sports broadcast the draw live from the Bauvill Stadium on Monday night.

That success came after disappointment the week before, however, with a 1-0 loss to Dulwich Hamlet in the National League Cup. Ten days on from that game, Chats now host Dulwich in a league fixture at the Bauvill Stadium tonight (Wednesday).

Chats have had a better start to the league campaign in Division 1 South East than their midweek opponents and will be hoping for a win to keep the pressure on the division’s early pace-setters.

Top-of-the-table Fulham are also in action, looking to maintain their 100% record away to fourth-placed QPR. It’s a busy week of league action, and Chats follow their game against Dulwich with a trip to Cambridge United on Sunday.

Chats boss Keith Boanas said: “This game comes shortly after they knocked us out of the cup, and hopefully we can get a bit of revenge - but the points are more important than that cup.

“We need these points to keep us in with any momentum going forward to challenge, and the three points will be vital.”

Chatham’s weekend exploits will give them plenty of confidence.
